A setup is the process of optimizing a guitar to play at its best through a series of adjustments.
Dirk from Guitar Saloon can setup, re-string and maintain your guitar for you. Following education at Galloup School of Guitar Building and Repair in Michigan, USA, and at Guitar Tech Courses Academy in Heathfield, UK, Guitar Saloon is willing to setup your guitar for you. Your guitar will be setup to your own preferences and to your own style of playing. The aim is to have a guitar which is nicer to hold, easier to play and better sounding. Replace the original nut or the orignial bridge saddle by a handicrafted bone nut or saddle, leveling the frets and fretting the guitar neck are potential improvements when a guitar is hard to set up.

You can! Welcome to the DIY workshop “Setup Your Own Guitar.” During a 4-hour workshop you learn the principles of setting up guitars and you work on your own guitar, with the help of Dirk. Register for a workshop on a Wednesday afternoon or a Satuday morning. In case the proposed dates don’t work for you, you are free to propose an alternative date. Each workshop is restricted to one or two guitarists.
